Flat Iron Restaurant
Despite being a small premises, the layout and surface finishes of it's main dining space combined to generate an unacceptably 'noisy' environment for diners.
Rossco received an urgent request to improve the acoustics because 'diners are physically leaving before their food has arrived, they can't hear themselves think!'.
The unpleasant phenomena was not caused by reverberation per se, but echoes and early reflections.
Identification of the reflection paths resulted in a solution comprising suspended ceiling rafts and the underside of all 50 chairs being fitted with high performance absorptive foam inserts.
The solution was quick, economical, and unobtrusive.
